With him we laughed. His antics and his trouble causing kept us in stitches. No matter how he felt he always found something to make us laugh. From his French Maid outfit OOC and his Dreadlocks IC and his scandalizing dreams in both, there was always something new.

When he first joined Dragonmount he was eager and outgoing and worked his way up the ladder until he became Head Tracker. He hounded me from day one for training IC and for help OOC. He teased Aldazar and got away with it, now that was a feat!! He was a prominent member of the Plaid Ajah and helped cause commotion all over the old boards for a time. He even gave WolfLover a headache or two. He chased the women? and the men *winks* and gave us all a reason to shake our heads a time or two.

Joining up with Darren, together they came up with some great RP’s and even killed off a few WhiteCloaks. Unfortunately, the dynamic duo is no more.

Aragorn, our beloved Head Tracker and friend passed away on November 4, 2002. Aragorn, his real name being Wayne, has suffered from primary Lymphoedema since he was a child. Here is what he told me about it.

“It has effected my health quite severely throughout my life. It’s a progressive disease of the lymphatic system (which controls lymph-fluid circulation, distribution, and the body’s immune system. Basically, my lymphatic system is very badly damaged, and continues to be damaged by recurring cellulites infections which my body cannot prevent.

In the past 2 years, my health has deteriorated to the point where I am getting one of these
infections every 4 – 6 weeks, whereas a few years ago I was only getting several per year. Each infection damages my lymphatics further, which makes me more susceptible to future infections, and so on.

For quite a few months now, I’ve been pretty much restricted to spending most of the day in bed, in considerable pain. Some days I feel good. A lot of the time I’m quite unwell… unable to walk or even talk.

It may be that this could continue on and on for some time, maybe not, we’re not quite sure. Either way I’ve talked openly about this to my family and close friends, some whom have known me a long time but have never quite understood how serious my condition is. Anyway, with making my peace with them, I’ve come to realize that I have quite a few “e-buddies” that I do consider to be friends, and that would probably miss me or scratch their heads if I suddenly disappeared from the internet should something happen.

I feel you are the best person to leave this personal information with, in case I do one day stop leaving dumb posts on our message-board and people start scratching their heads..

With all that said, I hope I haven’t burdened or upset you with this. Please understand that I’ve lived with this for a very long time, and I’ve accepted everything which it entails.

I’m not looking for sympathy. I am not sad about it, and I don’t want other people to be sad about it either.

Like I said, I may be around for another 5 years or more to create mischief and mayhem on the boards and in the RP, so I’ll keep Gorn going for as long as I’m still using the computer.”

Unfortunately, he did not last another 5 years. I received an email from his father this morning. Let me share that email with you now.

Dear WolfLover,
My son, Wayne, requested I notify you of his passing yesterday (11/4/2002). I don’t know if you were aware of his medical problems, but he could no longer tolerate the pain and carefully planned his euthanasia. He died very peacefully and was most considerate of my wife, daughter and myself in how he went about it. Thank you for being his friend. You must be a very special person as you are the only internet friend he requested be notified, and he chose his friends with great caution.
Regards, *******

He spent his last days with his two loves? his family and his music. He will be missed greatly, however he will live on in our memories both in and out of character.

I will be adding his character in my RP posts for a time until I reach a point where I can post what he and I have worked out for his characters end. Please bear with me for it’s not easy to write.

{{{Hugs to you all}}}

WolfLover

“I don’t question our existence,
I don’t question your need to go.
Thank you for walking with me
I will see you again, my friend”
By Owen<P ALIGN=CENTER><img src=”http://home.cfl.rr.com/gaea/Wolflover.jpg”ALIGN=CENTER></p>
